I tried searching this message base to get info on this subject to no avail.

I am trying to rip one of my DVDs and I usually have no trouble. My steps are as follows:

1. SmartRipper 2.41 - rip files to HDD
2. FlaskMPEG to compress (using DivX 503) to AVI.

I have recently ran into a disk that will not work. I tried this with 'In The Bedroom' and FlaskMPEG crashes due to what 'I believe' is the 'AV-Delay' which is -113. I have never paid any attention to the AV Delay until now, but of the DVDs I have tried this one is the only one I notice an AV delay.

I recently read some info about using SmartRipper to split the streams and then use 'AC3 Delay Corrector Version 1.9.G32' to correct for that delay. It seems that everything I try causes that program to error out also.

Does anyone know what I am talking about or even better how to correct it??

Thanks Again...
Kevin

Well I did have one movie with a AV delay once. It was 'Spaceballs' but the delay was (only?) 80 milliseconds (-80). I don't even notice it when I play the DivX.

I really can't say if the AV delay is your problem...try using a different program for compression.

I failed to mention that this delay causes FlaskMPEG to crash... I will try another, any thoughts on a good one??
