i am trying to learn how to rip dvd's.i dont have a lot of space on my hard drive and have heard that you can rip without saving,just going straight from the disk.if someone could help with some info that would be great.every one has to start somewhere i suppose.thanks

There are indeed programs that allow you to rip straight from the disk. However, I stronly recommend that you rip the files to your HD first! I encountered many problems when I used this method...

I Agree! not to mention you can severaly shorten the life span of your DVD drive with that type of constant access.
