network adaptor. simple setup if i dont use my pc at the same time?

is it posible to have the setup ps2 -> adaptor -> dsl modem -> phoneline and just not use my pc at the same time.

it should be ok. just make sure you power cycle the dsl modem when unpluging from pc and connecting to ps2 (both for setup and playing games) but, if you want my advice buy a router (they're pretty cheap these days).
