my friend showed me this from another site and i made mine and it came out KICK A$$!! here ya go

Making your own homebrew PSP docking station

When my PSP arrived, it was always in my hands, but a couple of days later, the problem of having a place to put the console became stronger and stronger (especially when you have nothing but your standard pack)...
I began to feel anxious... What if it falls down the table? And what if, while is on the bed, I sit on it? And so on ...

I've found that on the net there are many PSP docking stations, even for a few USD. but why pay if you can get one for free?
How? Well? building by yourself
I used the most low price materials, and the most common. The total cost of this homebrew is around 3 USD. First here what is needed:

- Glue
- One dvd/pc/ps2/gc/ case.
- Black tape
- One female 3.5 millimetres power connector.
- A couple of pins (you can find then in a old motherboard).
- some sponge.
- 15 minutes of your life and patience.

Let?s begin.
First lets open the DVD case, and make a 15,5 x 3 centimetres rectangular hole.
Maybe you will need to cut the transparent cover plastic away.
Don?t waste the black plastic piece you have cut, it will become useful later.

now open the DVD case. Cut off the DVD support in the centre. Then cut the borders of DVD support where the PSP will stand.
Now take the black plastic piece you cut in the beginning and split it in 2 equal pieces.
Then bend them at 90 degrees. Like in the picture.

When that support has been made, you will have to use the glue to fix them on the internal part of the DVD case. Remember to use a kicking *** glue, not your kid's one.

When you have done this you will have to place some black tape along the whole borders.
Now place some sponge inside the case. Placing it well will ensure the PSP bottom to not slip.

Make a hole in the border where the female connector will be fixed. Then create a sort of elastic connector placing 2 pins over a little piece of sponge.

Now place some tape to make this thing more stable remember to place it where the PSP connector will fall. Do some test to discover your best position.

When you find the correct position, stick the piece of sponge, letting the pin part being able to go up and down, to adapt itself when the PSP is inserted.

Now you have to connect the 2 pins cable with the female connector, so the docking station can be powered by the retail charger..

Now you can see the PSP is standing at 70 °, but is better a 50° positioning to avoid accidents

You would like to use UMD cases, but they are nearly unstable, and more precious than an old pc-DVD case. You can use also VHS cases.
I personally think using DVD cases it is very stylish, and perhaps very stable. Doing some crash tests (with a dummy PSP of course) I discovered that in a 45-50 degrees position the PSP is fully safe to any accidental impact. Also the rubber and the sponge inside the case quill ensure the PSP a comfortable and slip-free place to stay.
NOTE: In the last photo you can see I used the PSP connector directly in to the pin connector cable, without soldering.this is because I will let the power unit always in.
If you want to use a similar solution, just plug the pin cable in to the male ac adapter plug.
Remember to use the correct pin out for powering the PSP. You can find the pin out settings near the PSP female connector.
I hope you enjoyed this little and quite simple homebrew.

Anybody have any idea how to make something similar for holding the psp in place in a car?
As all cars are different inside it might be a bit difficult but isn't this site meant to be where all the brains are? :)

Then again I just had a look on ebay and saw psp in-car holders for under £3 so its not really worth the trouble of making one unless your really short of cash :)
