Hello,
First of all, sorry if I posted this in the wrong spot; this is my first post here.
I got a Fliptop and Swap Magic (DVD and CD) combo today. DVD backups work great, but the CD Boot Disc almost never works. I go into the PS2 Browser, and most of the time it just sits there trying to read it for ages. Sometimes the disc-drive will periodically come to a complete stop, or speed up, and eventually give me a Disc Read Error. Very rarely (so far only twice), it'll just show up and work.
I have a V5 PS2, and as mentioned, 3.6 SMD.
Any help would be appreciated,

i got my sims to work by using the SMD dvd first then swapping to the SMD cd and then to Sims. and it loaded fine.

Thanks, I'll try that. Did you use the PS2's tray, or swap with the fliptop (or slider, whatever) and x/square?

Edit: Okay, tried that. Upon reading the CD-loader, it said "Not a valid PS2 disc"
