Hi All
Shelley here from New Zealand! Ki Ora!
I am a total newbie on this DVD burning thing. We just bought a new computer and the lovely salesmen told me to download DVD Decrypter and DVD Shrink so I can 'back up' DVD's :-)
The problem is............I know what I want to do, but have NO idea on how to start to do it or what programmes i need to download so I can copy DVD's?
Please help this helpless Kiwi :-)

Take his advice and start with those two programs (DVD Shrink, DVD Decrypter) since there are great guides on here to walk you through the process step-by-step, and then incorporate whatever software you have on your new machine after you get the hang of it. PLUS, they are free! I think you will avoid a lot of headaches and confusion if you go this route. Practice on a DVD+/-RW so that you won't waste media if you make a mistake. PLEASE buy quality media as well. Examples of good media are: Taiyo Yuden (you can order this online, or buy Fuji, Sony, in the +R format) and Verbatim.

Guides for Shrink and Decrypter are here:

Also download DVD43FREE:

Good Luck!!!
