Hello all.

A few months ago, I finally saved up enough cash for a PS2. Yay me. Being a filthy european though, I got shafted by having to grab a PAL PS2. So I got the Swap Magic boot discs, and a fliptop cover, and all was well in the land. I could play any imports I got without trouble, and all that nice stuff.

However, the store I ordered my imports from was a bit bitchy with sending Xenosaga Episode 1, so I got Episode 2 after a week and waited 2 months for Episode 1 to arrive. Today it did. I grab my PS2 and attempt to boot it up, and it failed.

So after scouring the internets, I figured out there was a patch available to make it work. Woo. Then I figured out that the patch required me to rip my original game, then burn it again with the patch changes, which is something I really don't want to do since what the hell did I just wait 2 months on, then?

Is there any way to get the game working without the above-mentioned patching method? Any assistance in this matter would be greatly appreciated.
