@ RagePro: any standard IP blocker can do that, When your browser requests the site from the server, it sees your ip, and access is simply denied. *ok, that is very over-simplified, i just can't be bummed to type out the whole process right now*

well, ragepro, your IP is constantly used to communicate information back and forth from your specific compie to the AD servers. as Daniel said, the AD servers have a program (or maybe just a specific setting or something in the coding) that sees that address number of your computer and realizes that no information is to be sent to it. for static (non-changing) ip addresses this solves the problem. but for dial-up users (with a dynamic IP), i don't think this blocks the computers.

i'm not sure if anyone's ever had their ISP contacted here. it rarely goes that far anywhere, i'm sure. normally after a banning two, people either straighten up or leave permanently.

unless someone really pisses a mod or admin off, they're not gonna waste their time and find/contact your ISP. if they come back, they just get banned again...most don't learn their lesson the first time
