Hi, from the company I buy, these discs were MCC 003 which I've had excellent results and success with - burn great, low errors, work on every DVD player I've tried.

However, these are now Prodisc R03. Are they as good? Better? Worse?

Compatibility is very important for me. The MCC 003's burned very good at 4x (deeper burn) so they were very compatible with DVD players. I need to know about the Prodisc R03 dye.

I have a Philips DVD Burner which is excellent.

Thank you in advance. :)

i would tell you honestly that in my opinion, prodisc dye is not same level as the MCC003 Mitsubishi Chemicals dye...so, to answer your question, i would say the prodisc is WORSE than the MCC~ :)

i have had MANY successful burns; as for made in taiwan media, i use SOLELY MCC003 Verbatims, which are great media as you can attest to yourself~ i have used prodisc in the past with varying results, if at all possible, get back to using the MCC003 discs...go with what WORKS well for you, i would choose the MCC over PRODISC any day without a moments hesitation. :) good luck

I haven't got a choice. I love MCC 003 (Datawrite) and do not want to change.

The Full-face Datawrite Titanium ones I wanted have now switched from MCC 003 to Prodisc R03.

The non full-face DVD+Rs I use are still MCC 003 so I may buy a few packs before they are switched to Prodisc R03 aswell.

Thank you in advance. :)

well, i guess you have to make a compromise then...you already KNOW what you like (the MCC dye) and they have worked well for you; but, now it's a matter of a compromise concerning FULL hub printables or not...best of luck in your decision~ :)

Trouble is I NEED some full-face ones. I guess I might have to try the Prodisc R03 dye.

Thanks for your help. Very appreciated. :)

Thank you in advance. :)
