Well, I'm sure he has something done to his Xbox, considering in his subject line he said he has Unleash X.

J_MAN_X, try following this tutorial,

http://webpages.charter.net/modchipzone/ftpingproblem.htm

Make sure you disable any firewalls on your computer, and even possibly your Anti virus. I use Norton and Zone Alarm, and if I do not turn both of them off I always have troubles FTPing into my Xbox.

Ha! Ha! aint that the truth

I think he was trying to say that you can softmod & still FTP and use Unleash X.

Just need to cut & paste into your Ebonics translater

@westsides
You have to access it through your system settings (in the xbox).
If you're using Avalaunch or EvolutionX it is included in the tutorial in my link with pictures how to do each one. Very easy to follow, lemme know if happen ot have trouble after trying it.

Ethernet ports are what you're using. Crossover cable into the back of the xbox's ethernet port to te rear of the PC's ethernet port.

Both connections will have to be assigned a static ip or you'd just be spinning your wheels. Once the settings are done for static...restart your PC and xbox and then try to connect.

It doesn't matter.

Input static ip settings for both connections (XBOX & PC LAN), connect the cable, restart and attempt to FTP.

Yeah, sometimes a restart will enable new settings or changes to take effect. It just depends on what exactly you're doing.
