what is the media ID code on those...are they the Riteks? let us know...personally, i won't ever buy store branded media...but, to each their own~ :) and i would also NOT recommend store branded media to anyone looking, more often than not, you get what you pay for...considering that GOOD quality media is not THAT much more expensive when retail stores have their sales.

Recommended Media:

Taiyo Yuden 4x dvd-r TYGO1/ 8x dvd-r TYGO2/ 8x dvd+r YUDEN000T02/ 16x dvd+r YUDEN000T03
Verbatim 8x dvd+r MCC003
Verbatim dvd+r DL (MKM001)= flawless no compression backups

I am also curious about the mfg code on those office depot -8x's.

I picked up the +8x office depot brand in the 100 pack spindle after hearing catfreaks tip,and they are ritek-r03.I told a buddy of mine, but he prefers the dash format in his nec 2510.They may possibly code as ritek-g05.

You can go here and download DVDInfo, which will give all the info.

http://www.dvdinfopro.com/

Or you can do what I do if you have DVDDecrypter, just stick the disk in and it will tell the same info.
