has anyone used pinnacle PCTV deluxe personal video recorder. if so, hows the video quality? will it convert my VHS to dvd? trying to find out if its a great product beofre i go buy it

I personally wouldn"t Buy any Pinnacle Hardware as it is Notoriously Crappy...The PCTV is well known for Haveing Sync Issues and Mediocre Quality ....

I would suggest you try something like the "Hauppague WinTV PVR-150/250/350 PCI" Card...From what I hear these are good devices and Capture Very Good Quality and best of all they use Hardware Mpeg compression so you don"t such up all of your PC"s resources which Captureing and it captures to the Correct Formats for Creating DVD"s....

If you have say $250 to spend then I would suggest you Check out the "Canopus ADVC-100" as it is one of the Best devices for Transfering VHS video to your PC so you can author to DVD....

will the win tv 350 capture VHS?
what cables do i need to connect to the win tv 350 PCI card from vcr, what port in do i put them in?

Yes, it will capture from any analogue source....

You would use the Same Cables and Inputs you use to Connect the VCR to your TV set...Your VCR will have a Yellow RCA Video output and a white and Red RCA audio Output for the left and Right Chanell audio and the Capture device will have a RCA Audio Input and it will either have an audio Input or you will need a Small adapter so you can connect the Audio Outputs from the VCR into the "Line-In" port on your PC"s Sound Card....

It will be easy to Figure out when you take a Look at it and Think about it a Minute....
