I've been having problems with playing burned cds in my car. I changed my mp3s to wavs but that didn't work either.
I have cds of the same brand that other people have made me in the past that will play in the cd player so I dont think it is my cd player.
To make it even more confusing... The cds I've made using my cd burner play in other peoples' cars so I dont think it is my cd burner either.
This may be more of a car question but if someone can give me any advice, I'd appreciate it.

If on your car you have a normal CD player you need to burn an AUDIO cd not a CR-ROM ISO cd with .wav or .mp3 in it.

Use Nero or EAC ( www.exactaudiocopy.de ). Ah, burn it at LOW speed or you'll hear pops, clicks.

More, learn the difference between AUDIO and DATA type CD or you'll burn coasters.

Well, this is totally hardware dependent. I can smoke at 44x and the results are fine. But generally it is a good idea to decrease the audio burn speed slightly. To 16x perhaps?

The old school is back. All hail the new http://BitBurners.com !

I totally agree, cd-rw.org.

Probably I'm too much conservative, but since
74 min @ 44x = 2 min
74 min @ 12x = 6 min

I usually prefere to be on the safe side, rather than wasting a good CD just for saving 4 minutes. This is just my opinion, though.
