toshiba rstx 60 format problem

I also have network capability. But I came up wiht a different solutoin.
I burned a copy of a show to the dvd on the tivo unit. Then I riped it to the computer editing it and burning it back on to a fresh dvd on the computer. However when I try to play it on my Tivo it does not recognize the disk. On the ohter hand when I put it into a regular dvd player it works fine.

How can I get the pc burning to be recognized on this tivo unit?

My pc dvd burner supports just about everything so I used dvd-r
My tivo unit ony supports dvd-r dvd-rw.

I used Sonic DVD to edit the tv program.
