PS2 v5 SCPH 30001-R NTSC
Magic 3 Mod Chip
For USB Advance/eXtreme I used a WD400 in a USB2 enclosure. I installed games with the official Windows interface and used USB eXtreme Free Edition to boot them.
For HDLoader I am using WinHIIP to install games onto the WD400 in the USB enclosure. Then I transfer them to a Maxtor 120 DIAMONDMAX PLUS 9 6Y120L0. I boot with Fully Patched HDLoader.

Have you tried formatting it? You have to format it in Windows and ALSO with USB eXtreme disk while attached to the PS2. I used FAT32 but some say NTFS. You got like the best hard drive for HDLoader you should get that. If your drive is in an enclosure you can take it out. What PS2 do you have? Slim needs a kit to use internal hard drives. Also, is your PS2 modded? If so you can get a patched version of HDLoader for free.
I would seriously go to this forum and see what you can do because USB eXtreme is very slow and you have almost everything you need to install and do it the best way.
If you hagve the Slim model, there's a guy on http://www.ioffer.com/ that can take a slim ps2 and mod it, add internal hard drives, etc. It's worth it once you get it done to save your laser and have playable games.
