I have been recording to my DishPlayer 7200 for about 2 years. Pulling the hard drive from the DP putting it into my PC and ripping the recorded file, ending up with a MP2 and a MPG file. I have been using software called dishrip with a -ts2ps command to sync the audio and video while ripping to the PC.

Then using the PC to multiplex "Womble Video Wizard", edit "Womble
MPEG-VCR", author"DVDLab PRO and burn"Nero". Everything has worked great until about the last 3 weeks. DishTV has done something to the MP2 file that when I follow the normal procedure I get audio that sounds like it is just clicking on and off

The original MP2 file plays OK with winamp. and is 2:01:54 in length.

I tried using Sound Forge to convert from MP2 to AC3. That file plays OK but now appears to be 1:41:35 in length but still the complete audio.

Multiplexing the AC3 file and the original MPG file now gives me a video where the audio plays OK until 1:41:35 and then stops.Everything is perfectly synced to this point.

New to Sound Forge, and any help would be greatly appreciated. Or perhaps there is a better approach to this problem.

Not much help in the Yahoo Dishrip forum, since there are not may
DishPlayers left and probably not many of us that are doing any ripping.

Hope this is somewhat clear. I have googled for about two hours.

Thanks

All of this is for my personal use. I see no difference than putting a show on a VCR Tape, or recording directly to my settop DVD recorder on a RAM or DVD-R Disc.

I was having problems synching the audio and video. Got it figured out though. Dish had changed somethng in the signal and I needed a different command for ripping from the DP HDD to the PC, and getting a single MPEG file insteda of separate .mpg and mp2 files.
