im new to this burning backups and games to a dvd to play on ur ps2 thing. can anyone help me? i have dled the games on my comp now how do i burn them? and can i play them without the modchip? i dont want to get a mod chip and i dont know where to get swapdisk. ( i dont like to buy online) anyone hel? thx

I heard of someone that it is very easy to mod a slimline ps2 but i dont like mods either i would recomend swap magic for you

well devilboy, looks like your pretty much out of options if you dont want swap magic or a modchip, thats the only way you can play back ups, with a mod or some pressed boot disk. and they dont sell those kind of things in regular retail stores.

Yeah... you have to make a choice, or use a chip or buy online the Swap Discs. Well I can recommend you the SwapMagic3 discs. Its VERY easy to install ( within 10 minutes ) you DONT have to open your PStwo ( slime line ) and its much cheaper as well. Well take your chance of buying it online. Online purchases are quite safe, at least I never had problems doing so. What do you got to lose?

you don't need a modchip if you have a gameshark 2. there is a way that you can mess with ur ps2 to get it to work. you can find the info at this link: http://www.i-hacked.com/content/view/75/62
just scroll down to the part that says 'Starting the game on your PS2'

Thats the same thing as swap magic pretty much except swap magic is easier to use and Gameshark is hard to get now because the newer versions don't work.
