Multiple versions of MPT needed??? Drivers???

Help.

I downloaded MPTs 3.11h (Motodude's) and couldn't get it to work. Then I read that you need versions 1.23c and 2.16 update plus the 3.11h PLUS drivers.

THEN I read that there's a 3.23.

If I download 3.23, do I still need all those others. And what about the dirvers? And, do I have to unlock my phone for any reason to use MPTs? I already use my phone - just want to move a photos and sounds between my V3 and PC.

I'm relatively new to all this but can learn fast.
