When I try to burn a dvd with "Dvd Decrypter", The message at the bottom of the decrypter window says, "Medium not present". Now, This happened before. I didn't try for about 4 months or so, and I tried it out of the blue and it worked fine. Now it is doing the same thing. Does anyone know what the hell is going on? Please someone give me an idea of what to do. I would appreciate it before I throw my hard drive out my door. "Kidding".
Just need a little advice.
Hi porkroll,
Well it doesn't have anything to do with your hard drive. It seems your burner is not recognizing the media your using. Can you please expand on your situation. Type of drive, type of media, backup software etc. Pretty tough to help you unless we get some details. Give as much info as possible and the good folks here will have you burnin DVDs like crazy.
Good Luck,
HW.
Well, I use "Dvd Shrink" to shirnk the Dvd, then I use the option "Back up" to create an ISO and burn with "Dvd Decrypter". I have been burning Dvd's left and right for about 2 months now. All of the sudden, it will not recognize my Dvd burner. Do you need the exact model of dvd burner it is? I have a dell computer which came with a dvd burner. It is a _NEC DVDR-W ND-1100A. My dell is an 8300 demision. Does that help or should I give you more info. I don't really have a back up program or anything. When this happened before, anything I try reading my DVD-R with, would not read it. I hope this might help. I like the feedback on this site. It is very helpful. please keep replying.
Thanks again all.
