First off go to your psp menu on the far left, then go to system settings, and then, system info, and then look for system software.
And so far, there are no ps1 emus.

and second off, why are you paying 350 dollars for a 2 gig if you want to play ps1 games, most ps1 games arent over 700 megs, a 1 gig will work fine and at 1/3 of the price, im gettin one in a few weeks.

Yeah, and ps1 (the console) is cheap as hell. Why don't you buy that? This far one guy is developing a ps1 emulator, but it runs at 0.5fps or so, you don't do a thing with it.

Okay, first off, i didnt pay 350 for a 2GIG stick, i bought mine for $75 at a swap-shop.
Second off, i HAVE a PS1 emu that plays isos.
Third, im not gonna buy a ps1 no matter how cheap because i have a ps2.
Finally, i bought the 2GIG stick because im always on the run and the 2GIG stick holds all my downloaded shows.
So, please. Can I run a PS1 emulator and a Rom of ERGEIZ on my psp?

Shinraboy, even if you have an emulator that runs isos, it still runs an unplayable demo at 0.5 fps, so what do you think it will be on an actual game which may not be even supported yet? I don't want to bring you guys down, but psp will _never_ emulate ps1 or n64 with playable speed. Actually not even near playable speed even if you use 333mhz. It can't even run most snes games full speed with transparency and sounds on. Yes, psp is far more powerful that ps1 or n64, but emulation takes lots of resources... When fullspeed ps1 emulator comes then pm me and I'll give you 100 bucks :p This offer is only for solargame and Shinraboy, in case that they actually manage to make a fullspeed emulator :p

Either way, all apologies, i was just pissed at someone else, (beating) Any way thanks for your help, ill just stick to my PS2,.
By the way, theres adapters for your psp to use memory stick pros, not duos, which can be a lot cheaper, the adapters arent too nice, but definitely worth it, ill post a link later.

Hell no, but I'm coding a combined ps3/xbox360 emulator, it's nearly finished, runs at 100fps! An the roms take only 2mb.

Finally, Kutaragi revealed the fact that they are working on a PlayStation 1 emulator for the PSP which would allow users the ability to download PS1 software directly to the memory stick. Timing and pricing wasn?t revealed for this new download service.

o come on solargame he was just being silly not mocking you.
They arent going to be exact copies, they are most likely going to be scaled down versions of the games

A site in Dutch? I didn't promise you 100 bucks for that. And what part of this sentence you didn't understand:

Exactly. It's completely different if sony does the emulator, or some dude at his mom's basement. And the games won't be directly compatible, they have to altered some way. Plus you'll have to buy that game again, which you played through ages ago.

Actually when the "Official" PS1 emu comes out I think the ISOs Sony is going to offer will be 5-10 meg and will have differnet control config, I take it as a good move from them, I'd pay $10 to play MGS on the go.
Steps to bricking a PSP:
1. Get a brick
2. Hit the psp with it untill it won't run any longer
Congratulations, your psp is now bricked.
