hi, I'm not that experience at ps2 systems, I need some help finding out what kind of modchip i need. If anyone speeks spanish, I need to know what "un ps2 version 3o mil uno" means. I dont understand. I dont understand what "ocho tapones means". thanks for any help.
Well using the Google translator it said "un ps2 version 3o mil uno" means "ps2 version or thousands one" and "ocho tapones" means eight corks. i really don't know if that's correct but that's what Google is saying. What version is your Ps2, you can find out but pressing triangle in the black browser screen, you will see something like SCPH-xxxxxxx this will help pick the best modchip for your version of Ps2.
try going to http://www.xmodd.com It will tell you what versions the chips will work with

hi i think my ps2 overheated and everytime i start it up it goes to the configure screen i check the console version and it says it is unknown i have a mod chip in it and i think the mod chip is caused the problem because i left my v12 ps2 on for 3 hours. i dont no wat to do can some one please help me. thanks.
first off try not to jack someone elses thread and start your own.
It could be the heat issue. They heat up very quick. And if your house does not have air conditioning then that will also contribute.
Playing it for 3 hours is something i do every weekend with my V12. But the house is cool so the unit stays cool, and i also have a laser fix in mine to go with the chip. Try getting a fan and pointing it directly at the unit, then try to load a game.
sorry. i cant play anything on it. it takes me to the setup screen and the console version is unknown. when i enter the browser it says no data even when i have my memory card pluged into it.
