I'm trying to decied which DVD copying software to get DxPlatinum or OneClickDVDCopy. I trying to look for post that complain about them and see which one has the least. But I'm starting to lean to the OneClick cause it has all the features (I think) I need and the Platinum has the same features with some more features I will most likely not use.

Next, I will also get some software where you do the actual DVD ripping and then you filter it though a program where it takes off the Titles that you don't want on your copy such as extra langages, previews of other movies and just that extra stuff thats filler space on the DVD. I don't know the actual name of the software that does this but I would like some suggesstion on what to consider getting.

And you ask me why do I need all this software. I say, beacause "what if" theres a DVD that can't be ripped by one method. One acts as a backup method of ripping DVDs for the other one.

So please give me your comments is this a good or bad
idea, or help me narrow my desision on what sofware to get.

What way for backing up my DVD collecting is to put the movie on one disc and the extras on another. Yea I know that will be a waste of a disc but I want the movie quality to be as good as possible. From the last post I will most likely use DVDD but I'm thinking of getting DVDFab as a backup method for decrypting. Could anybody give me the name of some good DVD Rippers that will allow me to edit the contens of the DVD.

DVD Shrink in re-author mode will allow you to edit or delete unwanted features. It will also rip but may have some problems with some of the newer movie protections.

In these cases you can rip with DVD Decrypter and then import into DVD Shrink for compression/editing etc.

IMHO if you are thinking of spending money on a program, I would recommend instead of DVDXcopy Platinum you look into AnyDVD and CloneDVD2 from slysoft. AnyDVD will break the encryption and CloneDVD2 has very good editing capabilities. You can split to two disks and preserve menus on both. Just another suggestion.
