the ps2 just goes to the browser screen. the disc wont spin ! i have to push the start button and open and close the lid for about a half hour and eventually it starts up . anyone know what could be wrong ? Im using the magic switch , the sensor in the back is taped instead off using the c tool . I had this problem before i used the magic switch though . allthough it is more freqeunt now .

have you tried all types of media, cd rom, dvd rom, dvd's, audio cd's.

it could be a laser about to go.

it dosent matter what kind off media . I dont think it has anything to do with the laser . Its the disc that isnt spinning ! its like the player thinks the lid is open . but it still wont spin even when the lid is closed . but eventually after awhile off messing with it , it will start
