Hey guys, I wanted to make a back-up of a PS2 game. I have read alot of forums online, including this one, about this but I'm not sure. Do you need a mod chip to do this successfully or not? I have Alchol 120, DVD Decrypter, and other burning programs necessary to burn it so I've done "some" homework. But please if anyone can help, reply back to me. Thanks in advance.

And um.. same thing goes for PSX? It also needs a mod chip?

You either Need a Modchip or Swapmagic Discs (to Play PS2 Games GameShark to play PSX Backups) and a Fliptop or slide card (personally I'd go with the flip top)

Certain modchips will allow you to play psx backups as well, just ask before you get one what it's functions are, and find which one suits you best
