Ive noticed that when i rip a dvd to my comp that is widescreen and then i burn it and watch it on my DVD player...the opening credits are cut off and it seems to be "zoomed" it, but its not...is there some way i can change this so that this does not happen...hopfully i explained this well enough for someone to understand what is troubling me...thanks a lot

heres a post that was sent to me awhile back which may also help you.

I use DVD Rebuilder and CCE basic to do what you want. RB is free and CCE costs 58.00. Before you say no way,LOL, it is also the best combo on the market today for DVD quality on backing up DVD's. I have used over 50% compression with no editng(there's no need for it) and the copy is indistinguishable from the original.

Did i mention it will convert fullscreen to widescreen :>)
