Please explain your Question in More Detail...What Type of Movie File?? Do you Just want to edit Parts out of a Movie File or is the Movie still on DVD and what is the Format of the Movie ect...

Oh alright , an .AVI file , Like episodes of cartoons and stuff, to be able to record clips from them and save them as .AVI files. get what i mean?

Yup ...I second That...Virtual-Dub!!

Just make sure you have the "Video" set to "Direct Stream Copy"...
