i downloaded tony hawks underground 2 onto my hard drive then deleted with hard drive manager and it stole my 3 gigs. it is as if the game is still on the hard drive. does anyone know how to resolve this?

what do you mean hard drive manager ?

why would you use a hard drive manager to delete a file ?

anyway have you tried empty your recycle Bin

Yeah, PS2s are good at doing this, you'll need to FORMAT to get those 3GB back, which means you'll lose everything else you had on the HDD.

You should be fine after formating. It happen to me with usb flash drive.

how would i format my ps2 hard drive?? the only thing i have is dms hdd format tool but i dont know how to use it to format the WHOLE harddrive

OH MY GOSH.........I FIGURED OUT HOW TO FORMAT THE DRIVE AND I DID IT BUT IT STILL READS 34gigs free out of 37 AND ITS A 40 GIG HARD DRIVE!!! HELP SOMEBODY!!

when you use hdd with a ps2 it doesnt recognise all of it to start with and then uses a few gig for system files - this is where your space has gone. i use hd advance and maxtor 120gig hdd only 114 gig is available when it is empty and has been formatted.

it sort of does but the thing is when i first had the hard drive it said it had 37 gigs free then i put on thug 2 and erased it with dms hdd manager and POOF 3 gigs gone
