Can anyone tell me what I can do about this problem. I have tried decrypting 2 different DVD's and I am getting this error. It was working fine.

What DVD's? Is it the same DVD only you have tried two different ones, or is it two separate DVD's?

What movies? I/O errors can mean you have a dirty or damaged disk.

These movies should not cause a problem for Shrink or Decrypter. I think your disks are dirty or scratched. Try cleaning them with some windex, you can use some toothpaste mixed with a little water, and I have used a little spritz of pledge. Otherwise take them back and get another original.

This is the exact error that I am getting, this might help. I am trying another while sending this message.

Just checked the movie I started and it is doing fine so far and has gotten past the piont the others were getting the error message.

i get these errors tryin to shrink or decrypt brand new dvds, i use a plextor 716a

Thats the name of the drive/burner.

If you get these errors from dvdd it usually means it doesn't like the disc - it's hitting a bad spot that it can't rip. This can be caused by scratches, dirt, smudges or a bad press. Also some burners are better at getting past these spots then others.
Try cleaning off the discs if that doesn't work exchange it for a new one.
