its actually really easy to do this. just place desolder braid over the lpc holes. dont be afraid to us pressure. the solder will be absorbed as if the desolder braid is sponge

These guys are exactly right. It's very easy to do Just use a low watt solder iron (15 watts- radioshack for $8)and some desoldering braid. easiest thing in the world. Good Luck!
I Install Xbox Modchips and the Viper GC modchip for the Gamecube. If you are interested PM Me.

Hi...
Just to let you know that I have recently, 1 week ago installed a xenium spice solderless in a xbox version 1.0, which have solder in the lpc holes...Guess what?
You do not have to desolder them!!!
That was my main concern since I do not have soldering/desoldering experience. I gave it a shot without desoldering, to my surprise did work perfectly, for a newbie like me went pretty good and fast, the whole process took only 10 minutes and another 15 installing the rest of the software.
I have done 3 xboxes and no problems at all.
Hope this help to everyone else that as me desoldering is a concern.
ONCE AGAIN YOU DO NOT HAVE TO DESOLDER THE LPC HOLES, JUST MAKE SURE THE SOLDERLESS ADAPTOR SEATS OK IN THE LPC.
If anyone needs help me email me at numancoreas@yahoo.ca , I will be happy to help, from installing the chip to installing all the software.

Hey PimpDawg,
Why would you have to desolder the LPC holes anyway? Just curious.

i recommend desoldering the lpc. solderless is already a pain. and with solder filling the whole the pins are going to slide. it may work now. but in most cases your pins are going to slide and your going to have to realign the pins. (just solder!!!! its not hard)

Woah! I just remembered that you have a screw to tighten down the adapter, so you don't have to desolder the points.
However, I was just reading on Xbox-Scene and a high ranked member was saying that you should desolder the holes to create a better connection.
Sorry for the confusion...

Hah Hah Hah...ROTL. Nah dogg,
Nobody is attacking you, LOL. I was just wondering cause I've done quite a few boxes and never did it. I was thinking people might come banging down my door wondering why their box stopped working or something. Thanks for the info.
