At first it analyzed fine, then got to 7% backed up and I recieved one of two different error messages: Cycle Redudancy or Data is Encrypted. After a computer restart, it cannot even analyze.

I've tried using DVD Decrypter with AnyDVD running in the background too. DVD Decrypter also gets to 7% before erroring. The DVD is about 5.7 GB large also.

Please help?

The disc could be scratched, dirty, or defective. Take a look at the disc and give it a real good cleaning even if it looks clean to you wipe it down anyway. Can you watch the movie on a dvd player? Could be a bad pressing, try to get another copy. This is an old movie so Shrink should have no trouble ripping it by itself.

The fact that it "plays fine in a dvd player and my dvd rom" is no indication that the disc is fine. Players and player software on a PC use error correction, to skip past problems.

A rip cannot do this, so it will stop on even a single frame which has a single string of bad data (unreadable data).
