Backups Don't Play On Playstation

I have recently backed up a couple of dvd's using DvD shrink. I use Datawrite Yellow DvD-R and some of the backups work on the Playsation 2 but others do not. It comes up with disc read error but these work on normal dvd players. Does anyone have this trouble and do they know why this happens.

Also sometimes when i am backing up dvds occasionally the program freezes up and my whole computer does too i can't even use the mouse so can't even get the task manager up. Anyone know why this happens also.

Any help will be good thankyou

it could be a number of things... could be yer computers freezing up... not finalizing the burnt disc ( which should still play partially anyway ) ... could be yer laser needs cleaned, adjusted, replaced, on yer ps2 console, or it could be the blank media yer using. i hear verbatim dvd-r's work well.. good luck
