One is 4x and the other is 8x,thats the only difference as far as I know.

different speeds as jim_dandy stated 4x DVD-R vs. 8x DVD-R, same high quality Taiyo Yuden media~ :) my TY army continues to grow...so much interest, so little time~ haha

i usually burn at 4x...which one do u think performs better tygo1 or tygo2?

No difference which one performs better. Only difference is burn speed. Both will perform equally well.
