I wanted to know if some one will help me with mpeg 2 to xvid here is what i have and what i done:
Rip
I am backing up an NTSC 4:3 DVD and coverting it to xvid. (first time for me on xvid)
I took out everthing but the main movie and one - 6 chanel DTS audio with dvd shrink (without shrinking it) to an iso img
then mounted the iso with Alcohol 120 then riped it with DVDDecriptor "all files" to a folder the main movie size is now 7.88GB
ENC
Loaded the folder with "robot4rip" (followed guide for setup) it made m2v files ect.
moving alone to the encoder xvid with Gordian Knot, AviSynth, VirtualDubMod, DVD2AVI, BeSweet, vStrip
with mostly evrything set to defualt all but what the guide recomended and it was set to make 2 CD's @ 700mb each
but what i ended up with after 17hrs is 2 files: Title__1.avi @ 8.22GB and Title_1_Movie.avi @ 8.0GB each file is the full movie
what did i do wrong? and can i do anything with these files? or re use the m2v files to save time.

Nevermind i got its GK messeed up swithched to DVX

xvid, divx, frontend,
dvp or dvd to divx or xvid
input, output settings, divx xvid codec frontend, prep, filters, robot4rip,
AviSynth, filters where does it go, syntax, varibles and constants, deen, undot, options
anyway i would contribute if some one ever helped me.
oh well as fare as my part goes this thread is dead. do what you want with it.
p.s. a good looking xvid front end is out freeware: DVX found @ VideoHelp.com: http://www.videohelp.com/tools?tool=DVX_4 here is a few ways i look at stuff

but what if they maid you give them your car and to live with you for x amount of days plus there fee what would you do then?
would you give them this? or would you do without the service?
if they done this to you would you drive a rod in the ground under there wire and get electric without touching there property or any services from them? would it be wrong then if you done this? would they arrest you and throw you in jail YES as for me ill do without - all but what was give to me from the one that matters most to me.
