Combination of ripping software

I have the following software
DVD shrink, Any DVD, Nero, DVDXCopy platinum and Clone DVD.

I have ripping software for converting films to be played on my P910 and have only ever used #1 DVD ripper and Mpeg direct Makers DVD converter which was very time consuming. I Then used Virtual dub (top prog) for further editing.

DVD shrink, Any DVD, DVDX Cop Platinum and Clone DVD are all new to me.

I am wondering (apart from making my drives region free) is it nessesary to use "Any DVD" with DVD shrink, DVDXcopy or DVD clone or do any of them have there own ways around copy protection etc.

Like I said I am new to this combination of software and would appreciate any feedback from users.

Only if your source DVD is CSS protected will you need AnyDVD. The burning software will let you know if it is.
