You're gonna need DVD Shrink. This is excellent for that. There's a guide available for it as well. Just click on the Guides tab above and got DVD Shrink. Don't know what your source media is but you do need a good video card that allows you to plug in externals like a vcr or camcorder. That's if you're transferring from VHS. You'll need software that allows you to transfer from VHS to DVD should come with card but if not you can find it at this site. A good sound card like SoundBlaster or something like that is a plus but not absolutely necessary. A DVD-Rom drive and a DVD burner or combo drive of the 2 (preferrably a multi-format burner i.e. +/-R +/-RW).You'll spend more money for Dual Layered burner but that's a matter of preference. Of course the usual patch cords i.e audio/video(red, white or black, yellow rca type) cord or s-sync patch cord(silver or gold round tip w/pronges inside) or the vga cord(which is best but your video card must accomadate(red, green, blue rca type)). Remember gold tips are always better and they cost a little more, but if money is an issue the silver will do fine. Finally, you'll need DVD burning software. Some great one's can be found here at this site i.e. CloneDVD2($), Nero($), DVD Decrypter is free and there are many others. That's the kind of hardware and software you'll need. Any further questions, just reply. Hope this helps.

ragman

you can use VirtualDub to "cut" the scenes you like most and save them as different files. You can later on either merge them all together on one single huge file or make different movies with an authoring program.

By the way, the pie scene from American Pie 1 is by far my very best

I logged in on March 1st 2005, and it's incredible to believe that in so short time I've learnt all that I know about DVDs from this forum...
