I am using swap magic 3.6 and a flip top on my slim ps2. My backups will start but then will rarely get by the the first loading of the game. I am using dvd decrypter and burning at slowest speed. I am also using sony dvd-r dvds my original games work perfectly and my cd games work fine too, could it be my dvds?

not too sure , i always use maxell/ritek DVD-R no probs so far[30+]
what games are you backing up??

I have tried Batman Begins, Fantastic 4, Midnight Club 3 Dub Edition, The Punisher, and Medal Of Honor European Assult and I forgot to say they worked fine when I first burned them and it is only a few weeks past. They are also not scratched at all

Maybe you should try cleaning the laser on your PS2 with a cotton swap and some alcohol cleaning agent.

Hey, i'm wanting to clean my laser, but couldn't get the black cover off the dvd unit, and mines a fat not slimo!. Is it safe to use a cd lens cleaner you know with the little hairs on it, i do have one but i'm buffed about using and risk scratchin would it scratch the laser?.

Well i just bought some Maxell DVDs and they work fine now my friend told me the same thing happened to him with the sony DVDs so it must have been the DVDs but i still cant get Fantastic 4 to work i think i have to rebuild it.

You don't have to rebuild Fantastic 4, you have to patch it. Go to www.swapmagicfix.com to find a patch for Fantastic 4.

download the patch and apply it to the iso image - that's it.
