I've got a sony d56a DVD burner that seems to be very tempermental because it only works when it wants to. Sometimes I can boot up my laptop and immediately make a copy of a DVD, but at other times it continues to give me this error... "Media Not Found" ... I haven't a clue as to why it only does this at certain times, but dang I have searched for two days to see if I can find an answer in the archive... Still I haven't... Can someone help me?

Sounds like a firmware problem. Update firmware from the drive manufacturer's site.

I've updated the driver by right clicking the icon on DVD Decrypter... It's now at the new driver PDS7... which is, I think, the latest version, but it still doesn't recognize my media which is Ridata 4x DVD+R.

if youdid get the most recent update (probably so) then your drive is probably not compatable w/ the type of media you are using or is something to do w/ the connection. check out this thread try the suggestions that rotary gives.
