Ok here's the deal. I recently bought a Pioneer dvd in dash player for my car. It plays literally EVERYTHING. What I wanted to do was burn all of my music, which are all in MP3 format to a single dvd (i have about 2gigs worth of music) and just put that single dvd into my dvd player and forget about it. First problem I ran into was that I didn't have a piece of software that would allow me to make anything other then MP3 CD's. So I did some searching and found a program called ULEAD Burn Now. Downloaded the trial version to give it a try and wasted 6 discs attempting to burn the album in different formats. There are a few different combinations, but basically you can make an audio disc or mp3 disc. Tried the MP3 format first but when I put it into the dvd player it said unreadable format. When I put the dvd back into my computer I noticed that it wrote all of the mp3's into a sub folder, that is a problem cause the dvd players usually don't recognize those sub folders. So I tried burning a dvd audio disc. There are a few of problems with this format. First being that you can only write a maximum of 99 tracks to the disc, second being that it uses up A LOT more space on the disc. Again though, when I put the disc into the dvd player it said unreadable format. So I went back and tried the last format option, basically it's a dvd audio written in dvd video tracks, with the VOB files and such. Again, same thing, non readable format. This whole situation is becoming rather frustrating since I've talked to numerous people and all the suggestions they have given me have failed, at least concerning this piece of software. If there is another piece of software that will work or any other suggestions I'm very interested in hearing them. Thanks.

Have you tried Nero?

I make backups of my files to DVD just by dragging them to the specified folder. I think, after reading what you state here, that if you drag all your MP3 to the root directory (let's say it's D:\) then you should have no problem...

you can get Nero at http://www.ahead.com

by the way, I think it's the most popular burner nowadays

I logged in on March 1st 2005, and it's incredible to believe that in so short time I've learnt all that I know about DVDs from this forum...
