Just got CloneDVD2/AnyDVD and for the first couple of backups, I used Philips +R and they worked great. All of a sudden, it stopped working. I insert the blank +R and in a few minutes, the burn fails. Every +R I put in, fails. As soon as I put in a +RW, it works. Why did the first 2 work and now they don't? Is there somethng I can do to get the +Rs to work?

Hi darita, First thing to look for is any changes you made to your PC or system that may be causing the problem. Did you add any hardware or software?? Next I would buy a small pack of another good brand of blank media and see if that works. Some burners get picky about what media they like. If you have a bad batch of blanks you may get some that work OK and others that won't out of the same bundle. I have seen posts as high as 50% defective discs out of the same run. This of course is with the really bad stuff. Another thing to check is if you have the latest firmware for your burner drive. If the drive has had media related problems then the new firmware will sometimes correct that. last you may want to uninstall your backup software and do a clean install of the programs you use. Hope some of this helps.

Jerry
