I'm just getting started at copying vhs tapes (family movies) to DVD.

What do you knowledgeable people think of using the Humax (TiVo)for this purpose? It can handle analog or digital and is easy to use. My concern is how's the quality? I've only done one so far and the original was poor quality so I can't tell. Oh, and it took 3 DVD's to copy a 2 hour tape! If I set the Humax to a lower quality setting I assume it would take fewer DVD's but then how much will the quality suffer? I used DVD Shrink and Nero to edit & burn it to a single DVD.
