Its something Ive been wanting to do for ages, rather have them on DVD then on a huge box.

I remember a part I saw in a cataloug that was basactly like an MP3 player, you connected it to your VHS player (3 prongs) and pressed play and the video and audio was sent to the MP3 stick and then you upload onto your PC to burn to disc.

The parts been hard to find, isnt there another way, like a 3 prong cord with a USB at the end (3 prong into VHS and USB into computer) and record onto your computer and run a program?

Heeps of people must do it so there must be a couple of ways.

Although I do copy my old vhs tapes to my hard drive then edit and burn them to DVD-R's, I have found an easier way when I don't care about the content.

My wife and son bought me a JVC DRMV1S Progressive-Scan DVD Player/Recorder and VCR Combo for Christmas.

It's as simple as pie. Put the VHS tape in one side and a blank DVD-R in the other side and do and automatic dub from tape to dvd. All that I have to do when the dub is finished is to finalize the disc and then the disc plays back in all my different DVD players.

What the heck is your problem? I was only suggesting a cheaper device. Why are you taking things so personal it had nothing to do with "One up manship" just trying to save him a little money is all. You need to grow some thicker skin and stop taking stuff so personal! I get so sick and tired of having to explain every little post to some cry baby that might have got there feelings hurt. For christ sakes it's only a forum get a life and grow up people!
