met someone who tried to use winhiip on windows 98, with the official sony hd. what we didnt realize is that winhiip doesnt work on 98. something got screwed up somewhere because the utility cd is asking to format the drive. does 98 try to initialize the drive? and kill something with the MBR? what if anything can be done without losing the info?
