I recently modded a ps2 v4 and everything worked fine and all of the sudden, it got stuck at the Browser Screen and it won't boot anything. The dvdrom spins really loud. If anyone has any idea to what had happened please lend me a hand. Is it the laser or the bios problem?

i similarly have the same problem..... ive modded the ps2 had it for abotut 7 months now and now nothing works.. when i put game in and restart it goes to browser screen REALLY REALLY QUICKLY then nothing happens.... i also have real games.. same result does anyone know the problem?

i have a v12 and it happend to me like 2...i just turn the system off and unhooked everything..then hooked it back up and worked fine

From what I've tested. Chip has current in them when I plug in the power. So I agreed with Knives that it's the laser problem. I think the reason why it spins so loud is because it tries to get the laser to read but it doesn't. So now I need a new laser and I'm trying to find an affordable one. What model is your ps2 Knives?
