Hi, I have a pstwo v 12 and i tried calibrating it by turning the potentiometer with a dvd label printed near it. The ps2 worked fine but when i reinstalled the case it went back to it's original "disc read error" state. I got frustrated after a couple of times trying to calibrate it, so i turned the potentiometer fully clockwise! Now my pstwo doest read any DVDs at all. when i insert a DVD, it turns off. even when the DVD was inserted before turning on the PStwo, it turns off without even booting. Works fine with regular CDs(psOne, Audio CD, CDR, CDRW) though. I tried turning both potentiometers but it still turns off, i returned both to it's original state. If this problem couldnt be fixed, shoult i purchase a new Laser? and what is the version or code for the laser? where to but it cheapest? thanks!

im not sure but from what i heard...ddont mess with the laser cuz the v12 laser really sucks...dam i shouldve gotten a v7 or n xbox.

I was thinking of replacing the Laser, coz it's what i busted anyway. but still im getting the hard drive but i dunno what to choose, either HD connect or USB advanced. PS, why does usb advance display only black screen? tried booting USB advance with the elf, and the CD stinky made..
