my first post.... every dvd I rip from dvddecrypter copies the full length, but during playback it stops a few minutes into it and shows a few snap shots later in the dvd. I use the divx player to play back the vob files. I can click on the scroll bar to sortive bypass the freeze point and it plays the rest fine. I've tried multiple options on ripping. it happens on all dvd's.i use a d-link media server and it freezes at the same point.

looks like an awsome forum to learn lots.I'm excited to come across you.

hi srovlin welcome to AD. You are correct there is lots to learn and a load of mid level to high experienced users here. One questin is why are you using a DivX player to view VOB files? I would suggest using powerdvd or vlc player which you can locate n the software section. let us know as it may not be the files just the software you are using to playback the files.

to burn or not to burn that is the question

awsome!!!!..powerdvd plays the whole video on my pc. But my next problem is: I'm trying to serve my videos on my tv with a d-link media server which also stops after a certain time. i tried renaming it from a .VOB to an .mpg and i get the same results. Do you know if DVD Decrypter has any settings to fix this? There is also a check box that says convert pcm to wav. Does this take away from keeping dolby audio?

hello srovlin and welcome to AD there are several conversion suites also in the software tab vso's DivXtoDVD (free) is a powerful one that handles numerous format's but there are several to choose from as to which format you need for your d-link media server I don't venture to guess as that is still foreign to me and I will leave it to the elders as they're knowledge run's deep but you might give them a try and kep us posted!
