need your thoughts on getting a raw/uncompressed avi from dvd while retaining the highest quality. we have a client's corporate video on dvd that we'd like to offer in wma, etc. off their website. your replies will be appreciated. Thanks..Flo

Just so I understand you correctly...You want to make a DvD an .AVI file, right? Simple. It will be a little time consuming but well worth it. You will be able to get the .AVI file down to around 700MB with very good quality.

You need a couple programs...
DvD Decrypter
Auto Gordian Knot (Auto GK)
You may need a DivX as well, it can't hurt if you download and install it
Also AC3 Filter and all of these are available in the Afterdawn software section.
All are free except DivX but the trial is long enough for you to get major use out of it.

First you need to use DVD Decrypter & once it's completed you will use Auto GK to size it, pick your codecs and transform it to .avi

we're looking for way to create UNCOMPRESSED AVI to use as the source file for Discreet Cleaner XL because Cleaner wont encode straight from DVD.
