DVD Decrypter and Auto GK

I've been able to rip DVDs to 700mb xvid files with lots of films except one - on this one the audio is out of sync. Any settings I should change in this case - in either program? Need any more details?
Also, why am I ripping to xvid and not divx (found this in a guide, so I do it). Lastly, I notice, this film has 2 pcgs of the same length...should I try the second?

The sound is ahead of the video....Is ac3 delay correcter something I can use - and if so, how?

Sorry, but one more thing. The out of sync issue is huge not slight...You hear a sentence and then the mouth mouths it.

Hey mate!
I don't know to much about encoding from a DVD to XviD, but when you've got the XviD file you could try using this tool:
DivX-digest.com/software/synchronizer.html" class="korostus" target="_blank">http://www.DivX-digest.com/software/synchronizer.html
Haven't got a movie yet that was out of sync, so I haven't tried it, but the tool seems "straight ahead", think it's easy to figure out.

Just curious. I've never had a problem making my .AVI files with Decrypter and GK so would you mind sharing what movie gave you issues??

Anyone have an opinion on 1#DVD Ripper?
Should I give that a whirl to see if I don't have the same sync problem?

I use those regularly but have a sync problem with them on one movie - that's why I'm now asking if #1 DVD Ripper might be better and what the best settings to use would be for that program...

File: would be another file you'd like to edit the file's codecs and size of video (never really used it that way).
DvD: You can't just open a DvD with that option, you'll have to use Decrypter prior to that. If you tried, an error would pop up saying

I do use DVD Decrypter first - just noticed that whether I pick file or DVD I get the same resulting xvid file.
