Hi everybody,
I did a quick search but I didn't find what I was looking for.

I've a complete movie in avi, not compressed (or compressed in indeo).
My question is which program and which settings of compression should I use to obtain the best quality/space that fit a DVD?

Until now I've just installed TMPGEnc, but actually I've no idea about the standard values and so on...

The movie is quite 100 min long, the DVD should contain 1 language track and two subtitles.

Thank You for any help.
Regards,
Gioacchino

dunno about subs, but:
use Nero Vision Express to encode to DVD, reasonably good quality and fast enough.
its either that or Intervideo WinDVD Creator.
