Here's my problem. I have a DVD Rom Drive AND A Philips DVD+RW-D28 (Burner I Believe). It records CDs for sure, if you know that model I am talking about. I downloaded some Music Videos off of Bearshare. I have the Sonic My DVD Program that came with my Dell Computer. I bought DVD R and DVD RW disks to record on to. When I put a CD in the Burner, no problem, It will write all of the videos onto the CD, but My DVD player won't play them. So I figure I have a DVD Burner, right? I put a Maxell DVD R recordable DVD into that Philips Burner I said earlier in this post, and the green light goes and it's thinking but then it starts blinking. I then hit record on the Sonic MY DVD program with the Videos on it, and it says there is a Unknown Device Error. OK, So I put The DVD RW disk in, and it does the same thing. The Green Light is solid as it's thinking and then the green light starts flashing. Unknown Device Error.
I have a Dell Computer. With 2.5 GHZ hardrive, and 80 Gig harddrive. That's a big one. I have a DVD ROM, and the Philips DVD+RW-D28 Burner which records CDs as well.
Why can't I record a DVD using the Sonic My DVD Program? I want to record MUSIC VIDEOS That I download off of the internet.
If it's the program, What Program would be great to use to record music videos downloaded off of the internet onto a DVD.
I have a major question too. Can that model of Burner Even Burn DVD R's? Or can it just burn DVD RW's in stead? I got the top of the line DVD BURNER In the Philips I thought when I got the computer just last November from Dell.com.
What programs can I use to do this?
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks
Michael
