When trying to rip some movies, (lately "Flight Of The Phoenix") DVD-D will slow down to a crawl, and the log shows literally hundreds of "Positioning Errors." Usually in the past, cleaning the DVD has seemed to work, but now it is not. Does anyone know what this error means and if I should just get a new disc or should I try something else?

Thanks everyone

According the LUK author/developer of DVD Decrypter a positioning error is due to a severely scratched disk, you can try some toothpaste and a little water, or get another disk.
